e-Portfolios at Penn State

What are e-Portfolios all about?  -- Evidence!

In its simplest terms an e-portfolio is a collection of evidence. Students use their personal Web space account to plan, reflect upon, and then publish evidence of what they've learned at Penn State. Students use either the Penn State Blog or common web publishing tools to share important aspects of their collegiate experience!

Can my blog be my e-portfolio?  Could my e-portfolio have a blog?  Isn't a blog or an e-portfolio just a website?  The answer to all of these questions is YES!

How do I get started?

Collect evidence of what you've learned and what you are involved in... Select from your set of evidence that evidence which best represents you... Think about  reflective comments you can add to help others understand why what you know, what you can do and what you value is important to you...

Next, apply for your web space...

Then, choose a web publishing option: EASIEST: login in and build it with the Penn State Blog tool. EASY: build it using common web publishing tools.
